Report of attempted abduction in Hancock County a misunderstanding

LIBERTY TOWNSHIP, OH (Toledo News Now) – Police say what was initially reported as a possible attempted abduction in Liberty Township was in fact just a misunderstanding.

On Tuesday the Hancock County Sheriff's Department released information about a possible attempted abduction in the Dold Division in Liberty Township.  Police said at that time a child had been followed down the sidewalk on Dold Dr. by an elderly man before running to a neighbor's house.

Trains, Planes, and... Bicycles?

The sun is shining and the temperature finally stabilized to a normal spring season. That means more people out and about. People walking, running and on bicycles.

The laws in Findlay surrounding bike riding are pretty simple. If you are going to be on a bike, follow traffic laws just like you would if you were in an automobile. Also, at night you need lights (front and back) so people can see you and can, hopefully, avoid running you over. You are also free to bike on the sidewalks in all areas of town as long as you yield to pedestrians.

Lofton has been living with us at the Humane Society & SPCA of Hancock County since June 1, 2011 - YES almost one full year!!  Lofton would do best as an only dog.  He knows how to sit & shake and he is very willing to learn more.

Lofton loves tennis balls!  He hasn't quite gotten the hang of playing fetch but he loves to chase the tennis ball.  He walks well on a leash and although we do not guarantee that any dog is house-trained, he is well on his way.  Lofton hates
