Free Comic Book Day 2012

This weekend marked a holiday amongst comic book readers. Saturday was Free Comic Book Day, a holiday held annually on the first Saturday in May. Local comic book shops and book stores celebrate the day by offering a wide selection of free comic books.

The Book Nook in Findlay was the area's local shop participating in Free Comic Book Day. They had boxes of specially marked comics by the register and offering them to anyone who walked in the door.

Owens Concert Band to host Spring Pops Concert April 29

PERRYSBURG TOWNSHIP, OH (PRESS RELEASE) – Area residents are invited listen to array of musical selections ranging from Broadway Show songs to patriotic-themed numbers as the Owens Community College Concert Band presents its annual Spring Pops Concert on Sunday, April 29.

The concert will begin 2:30 p.m. in the Mainstage Theatre. Owens’ Toledo-area Campus is located on Oregon Road in Perrysburg Township. The performance is free and the public is encouraged to attend.
