Findlay company issues tire recall | Business

FINDLAY, OH (The Courier) - Hercules Tire is recalling some of its light-duty truck tires because the belts and treads can separate from the tires, according to documents submitted to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The recall covers 10-ply Load Range E tires in the company's All Trac line. The recalled tires are used primarily on commercial trucks and are 16 or 17 inches in diameter.
The tires were made in Shandong, China.
Hercules is based in Findlay.
At least one crash was reported from the defective tires, though it is unclear if anyone has been injured as a result of this series of tires separating.
Hercules will replace the tires for free. Owners can call the company at (888) 965-5795.
