Hancock County unemployment drops to 5.3 percent | Business
FINDLAY, OH (Toledo News Now) – Unemployment in Hancock County fell again in April, hitting 5.3 percent. That number is down from the 5.8 percent reported in March, and well below the 5.9 percent reported in April of 2012.
The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services estimates there are 37,500 employed Hancock County residents, with 2,100 still looking for work.
Hancock County is still below the statewide average for unemployment, which dropped to 6.7 percent in April, and has the sixth lowest unemployment rate of any county in the state.
