Owens Softball opens home season against Defiance College JVs March 19

PERRYSBURG TOWNSHIP, Ohio – Owens Community College women’s softball will open its 2012 home season against Defiance College JVs on Monday, March 19. The first game of the doubleheader will begin at 4 p.m.

All home games will be played at the College’s Softball Complex on the Toledo-area Campus. Owens is located on Oregon Road in Perrysburg Township. Admission to all home games is free.

FINDLAY, OH (PRESS RELEASE) - Youth interested in learning the art of fly-fishing and practicing their skills are encouraged to enter a lottery for a free youth-only clinic, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources’ (ODNR) Division of Wildlife.

Fifteen spots are available for this popular hands-on program, which will be held on Friday, July 6, from 1-5 p.m. on a half-mile section of Cold Creek at the Castalia State Fish Hatchery.

PERRYSBURG, OH (THE BLADE) - The gym will be darkened at Perrysburg High School and the spotlight will shine once again on an annual wrestling tournament that celebrates its 40th anniversary this weekend.

The Perrysburg Invitational Tournament will feature a spotlight focused on the mat of the championship finals. Twenty-one teams, including three that are ranked in the top 10 of the state polls, will participate in the PIT.
